What features are available for "Designers" with the EIME Classic license?
This is a basic access level common to all users.
The user has access to the Project, Design, Analysis and Comparison interfaces to:
- Create case studies.
- Analyze the results of a case study.
- Compare the results of different case studies.
What features are available for "Team Managers" with the EIME Classic license?
This is an optional access level.
The user has features to create projects and manage their team:
- Access to the "Create a project" feature.
- Access to the "Archive a project" feature.
- Access to the "Permissions" feature.
- Access to a "User View" providing read-only access to case studies.
- Access to the "Convert to Template" feature.
- Access to the "Share" feature to create systems.
- Access to the "My Team" dashboard.
What features are available for "Database Managers" with the EIME Classic license?
This is an optional access level.
The user has features to create indicators and LCI data:
- Access to the Database interface and associated features.
- Access to the "Convert a case study to LCI data" feature in the Project interface.
Is there an EIME license dedicated to schools and universities?
Yes. The EIME UNIVERSITY license includes 20 designer access (19 student access and 1 teacher access) with no restrictions on feature usage. The license includes access to the EF 3.1 indicator set and the CODDE® database in its n-1 version. Universities benefit from preferential pricing starting at €1,000/year.

Features
Can I adapt the data to my manufacturing geographic area?
Yes, EIME has so-called "configurable" data that allows you to adapt the electrical mix of the data to a specific geographic area. This configurable data is available for manufacturing processes.
A component I modeled is present in several of my different products. Is it possible to reuse my modeling in my next case studies without having to remodel everything?
Yes, there are two ways to reuse pieces of case studies in other modeling:
- It is possible to copy/paste a folder or component from one case study to another case study.
- It is possible to convert a case study into a system. Systems are then visible from the data library and can be added with one click to your modeling.
Is it possible to use parameters to vary the input data of my modeling?
Yes, the parameters feature is available in EIME. You can create a list of parameters with multiple sets of associated values. When you enter the name of a parameter in a quantity field in EIME, the value associated with the active set will be automatically used.
Is it possible to work together on the same case study?
It is not possible to work simultaneously on a case study but it is possible to transfer your models to team members or give them read-only access.
How can I track the progress of my modeling?
It is possible to add statuses to your case studies "To validate", "Rejected", "Validated" and comments to track the progress of your projects.
Is it possible to export the results of analyses?
All analysis results are exportable in a single Excel file. You will find all calculated indicators (impacts, resources, waste, etc.), the different material balances as well as the life cycle inventory (LCI).
Each results table can also be downloaded individually while retaining the display settings defined in the software.
It is also possible to export results in PEP ecopassport format. The downloaded file can then be directly loaded on the PEP database to register your declaration.
What are the export formats for results?
Results are exported in Excel format.
Charts can also be exported as images in .png format.
What are the export formats for modeling?
EIME modeling is exportable in json and Excel formats. Exports can then be reimported into any EIME session.
Can I show my modeling to someone who does not have an EIME license? For example in the context of third-party verification.
The export of modeling in Excel format is designed to be understandable outside of EIME. It presents all the information necessary to understand the modeling carried out in the software.
It is possible to carry out this export while displaying impact results. Thus next to each line of modeling the environmental impact calculated by the software will be displayed. This functionality is particularly useful for checking the consistency of modeling.
Databases
What databases are available?
EIME software provides CODDE® and ecoinvent databases versions 3.10.2, 3.11 and 3.12.
See our databasesHow are database versions managed?
In EIME, what is called a "Project" corresponds to a database version. If you create a case study in the project "CODDE-2026-04" you will have access to the data in their April 2026 version.
Is it easy to update a case study when a new database version is published?
When a new database version is available, a new project is automatically created in your sessions. You can then copy/paste your old case studies into this new project and with one click automatically update the data to their new version.
If data you were using is deleted in the new database version, EIME offers you replacement choices.
Is it possible to use the CODDE® database with LCA software other than EIME?
The CODDE® database has configurable inventories designed to be used with exclusive functions in EIME software.
This is why the CODDE® database cannot be transferred to other software.
Is it possible to import other databases into EIME?
No, it is not possible to download external databases and import them into EIME outside of those already present.
Miscellaneous
How do you access EIME?
EIME is a SaaS software (Software as a Service) accessible from an internet browser. It does not require installation. We officially support Chrome and Firefox browsers in their latest stable versions.
What support is offered to users if they have questions about using the software?
You have 2 hours of free support with your EIME license to be able to ask questions to our teams. A form is directly available to send your questions from the software. Support is available in English and French.
Do you offer associated trainings?
Yes, we offer several trainings on EIME as well as other trainings such as PEP ecopassport®, EPD systems, Carbon footprint. You can contact us based on your needs.
See our trainingsDoes EIME generate PEP sheets?
EIME generates results in PEP ecopassport format in an Excel file. The downloaded file can then be directly loaded on the PEP database to register your declaration.
For the creation of your PEP ecopassport® sheets, we have a complementary tool, All'in PEP, based on EIME and which allows you to automate PEP ecopassport environmental declarations.
See our tool All'in PEPIs it possible to configure an SSO to access EIME?
Yes, it is possible to configure an SSO on request. Our IT team will work closely with yours to implement it.
