Application Programming Interface
EIME API allows a client IT system to securely access EIME functionalities.
Our API license allows you to address the specific challenges faced by industrial companies in terms of automation, high-volume processing, and data traceability.
Once integrated to your internal processes and tools (CAPE, SAP, ERP), our API will allow you to access our databases and provide impact results from your modeling.
The IT support of LCIE Bureau Veritas will assist you to interface your client system with EIME.
Definition
What is an API?
This gateway follows a standardized communication protocol, which serves as a common language. Thus, the two services can communicate with each other and exchange data by sending and receiving calls.
The objective of this gateway is to allow a user to remain in a familiar environment (e.g. an application internal to their company) which will call the external service via the API.
How it works
How does it work?
To fully benefit from the features of the EIME API license, different steps will need to be completed:
1. Information structuring
You must establish a correspondence between your internal data (ERP, SAP, etc.) and EIME data.
A file listing the data from acquired databases, containing the metadata necessary for structuring upstream information, can be provided upon request.
This step is mandatory but can be lengthy; our LCIE Bureau Veritas consultants can assist you (additional quote).

3. API call
The process takes place in three steps:
- Authenticated by a unique API key, a request from the client system is sent to EIME with the import file (product modeling). This import file is in Excel format. JSON format is under development and will be available in 2026.
- Processing and validation by EIME.
- EIME responds to the client system by attaching the impact results in Excel format. JSON format is under development.
2. Generation of an EIME import file
Your system must generate a file respecting the EIME import format (Excel or Json), which will be attached when calling the API.
Specifics
Security & Technical
EIME API is a REST-type API with restricted access based on a token authentication mechanism (API key).
Each client benefits from a dedicated database and application instance, guaranteeing optimal performance level and security.
In addition to online documentation, our technical support helps you set up the service via a test instance: your technical team can directly exchange with our IT team.
